Ampan 40

A proton pump inhibitor with selective binding to gastric parietal cell H+/K+ ATPase, providing prolonged acid suppression (up to 24h). (Huber R, 1995) Shows minimal CYP450 interactions making it safer in polypharmacy. (Andersson T, 2001) The enteric-coated tablet ensures optimal delivery to absorption site. (Sachs G, 2006)

• GERD
• Peptic ulcer disease
• Zollinger-Ellison syndrome
• NSAID-induced gastropathy
• Erosive esophagitis

Side Effects

• Headache
• Vitamin B12 deficiency (chronic)
• Clostridium difficile risk
• Hypomagnesemia
